A lot of students get in touch with us raving about their time abroad, and asking how they can share their experiences with the McGill community. We鈥檝e developed the McGill Abroad Ambassador听program so that students can pay their time abroad forward, by sharing their highlights, stories and lessons learned, while engaging with fellow students who are also interested in globalizing their education.
McGill Abroad Ambassadors produce digital media content for McGill Abroad鈥檚 online platforms and contribute to听highlighting the advantages and diversity of McGill鈥檚 available global learning opportunities.听We are open to explore the different ways students can participate and will work alongside students to create content about their journey abroad which will be disseminated to prospective McGill students looking to go on an exchange. Ambassadors will also be given the opportunity to participate in the McGill Abroad Regional Info-Sessions event held in Winter and Fall terms. Ambassadors participating in this event will present to students looking to go to the university and/or country they went to and network with peers building connections for a lifetime.听
Supplement your CV with concrete digital literacy skills while seeing your work displayed across McGill Abroad鈥檚 online platforms! Participants will receive a personalized letter of recommendation from McGill Abroad and build up their official McGill Co-Curricular Record with this certified program.听
As we share student highlights from travelling abroad with McGill, we welcome and encourage applications from members of racialized and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, women, Indigenous peoples听and students with disabilities.
